You may be asking yourself why is everybody arguing about creationism, evolution and Intelligent design.
You can thank the Founding Fathers and the Constitution and a little thing called:
The Establishment Clause
It is the “main clause in the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution forbidding Congress from establishing a state religion. It prevents the passage of any law that gives preference to or forces belief in any one religion. It is paired with a clause that prohibits limiting the free expression of religion.”
In other words, it says that we have to keep church and state separate to avoid conflict.
Which reminds us of an old joke. George Washington is called the Father of our Country. However, everyone knows that George and Martha never had any kids. So what does that make us?
